Angel Park Golf Club

Designed by Arnold Palmer himself, the two championship courses, 12-hole executive course, and unique natural grass putting course make up whatís called the best public golf facility in Las Vegas. The courses are all in terrific shape and feature views of the Vegas skyline and Red Rock Canyon. Green fees are affordable for Las Vegas, ranging from $65-$155.
Las Vegas Golf Club

This is one of the oldest public courses in Las Vegas, and one of the most heavily played. Designed by William P. Bell, the course opened in 1947. The course measures short compared to some of its monster neighbors in the area, but water and sand make it a challenge regardless. Green fees are affordable (for Vegas), in the $40-$100 range.
Las Vegas Paiute Resort

Featuring two four-and-a-half star championship courses, both ranked among the top condition courses in the nation by Golf Digest. The Nu-Wav Kaiv (Snow Mountain) Course measures 7,158, and features stunning mountain views and challenging tee shots over desert and ravine terrain. The Tav-ai Kaiv (Sun Mountain) Course measures 7,112 yards, features similar landscape. Both courses are considered bargains for the area, with fees ranging from $60-$160.
Painted Desert Golf Club

This course, designed by architect Jay Morrish, opened in 1987. The course measures 6,810 yards, but the layout is such that requires accurate shot making from everywhere on the course. Water, bunkers, and undulating fairways present a challenge for even the lowest handicappers. Once again, this is a Vegas value at $45-$100.
Royal Links Golf Club

A Dye designs group creation that opened in 1999, this Las Vegas golf course is inspired by the great holes of the British Open courses. As such, it's a links-style golf course true and true with no water, no trees, plenty of fescue and 106 pot bunkers. Bring you're A-game, and your wallet; green fees are in the $175-$250 range for 18 holes, but the service and conditions are five-star.
The Legacy Golf Club

This Arthur Hills design about 15 minutes from the strip in nearby Henderson features the unique par-three 10th hole with tee boxes in the shapes of diamonds, clubs, hearts, and spades. This is one of the more popular public tracks in the Vegas area, and play can be slow. Green fees are once more in the three-figure range, up to $135.

This Las Vegas golf course, designed by Bobby Weed and Raymond Floyd, is part of the three-course battery of the Las Vegas invitational. Opened in 1996, this is an immaculate course features seemingly bottomless gorges and almost 100 bunkers. Accuracy is a must. Golf Digest's four-star, and best conditions mention. Green fees at this Las Vegas golf course are in the $50-$235 range.
